Overview

Consider joining MX Holdings as the Senior Marketing & Communications Manager at our St. Louis, MO location. The Senior Marketing & Communications Manager will lead the strategic development and day-to-day execution of integrated digital marketing, internal communications, and external communications initiatives across multiple brands and locations. This hands-on role is critical to shaping a growing, enterprise-wide function from the ground up. The ideal candidate brings strong digital expertiseexecutive level communication skills, and the ability to translate business strategy into compelling stories, campaigns, and experiences—both internally and externally.

 

This is an on-site position in our St. Louis, MO location. 

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Digital Marketing and Brand Growth 

  • Develop and execute SEO/SEM strategies to increase website traffic and brand visibility 
  • Own digital marketing analytics and reporting; measure effectiveness, track KPIs, and optimize performance across channels 
  • Manage digital marketing budgets, tools, vendors, and external agency relationships 
  • Ensure consistent brand voice, identity, and creative excellence across all digital platforms 

Internal Communications & Employee Engagement 

  • Establish and grow the internal communications function across brands and locations 
  • Own the editorial calendar and content strategy for internal communications platforms and channels 
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing messaging, storytelling, and presentation support 
  • Translate business strategy into clear, inspiring, and engaging employee communications 
  • Lead communications for enterprise initiatives including town halls, quarterly meetings, change management efforts, and business integrations 
  • Develop and execute internal crisis communications strategies when needed 

External Communications & Media Relations 

  • Advise senior leaders on external communications, media engagement, and reputation management 
  • Serve as Project Manager for MXH with outsourced 3rd party marketing agency  
  • Serve as a key contact for crisis communications and issues management in North America 
  • Identify thought leadership opportunities for executives across industry, trade, and regional outlets 
  • Develop and maintain earned media strategies and media relationships 
  • Monitor brand sentiment and issues across media and digital platforms 

Community Engagement & Corporate Reputation 

  • Lead and support enterprise community engagement and corporate citizenship initiatives 
  • Align community relations programs with brand values and business priorities 
  • Increase internal and external awareness of MX Holdings as a great place to work 

Management & Operations

  • Manage resources, budgets, vendors, and timelines in alignment with business priorities
  • Collaborate closely with other marketing and functional partners to ensure integrated execution
  • Build best practices, KPIs, and scalable processes for continuous improvement
  • As the function grows, this role may expand to include people leadership responsibilities
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Ideal Candidate Will Have: 

 

Education 

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or related field, from accredited college or university required  

 

Experience 

  • Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in marketing, communications, or related field 

 

Other required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 

  • Excellent understanding of communications best practices across audiences and channels  
  • Advanced knowledge of social media platforms and B2B utilization of these platforms 
  • Ability to work with and lead others  
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) 
  • Proficiency in managing media relations, crisis communication, and handling sensitive issues 
  • Strong organizational skills, and ability to effectively disseminate information clearly and concisely 
  • Flexible and driven to meet tight deadlines, handle multiple projects and prioritize appropriately 
  • Attentive to details and follows through on assigned tasks and commitments to achieve goals 
  • Demonstrated ability to problem-solve, influence others, and effect change 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office - includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams 
  • Must be available to travel as needed to complete job duties and serve multiple locations/ subsidiaries 
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing best practices across platforms and technologies 
  • Proven ability to develop executive level messaging and communication strategies 
  • Highly analytical with the ability to connect metrics to business outcomes 
  • Self-starter with intellectual curiosity, sound judgment, and high integrity
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) 
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorships are not available 
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and assessment
  • Must have regular attendance and be able to work onsite in our St. Louis, MO office

Our salary ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. The range provided for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
